Manufacturers & distributors

Scale volume without scaling overhead.

Freight for manufacturers and distributors moving recurring volume across plants, warehouses and ports, with the roles, audit trail and reporting that implies.

What usually gets in the way

You move freight across plants, warehouses, and ports, with different teams, recurring lanes, and a finance function that needs predictability. Spreadsheets and email threads can't give you a single source of truth, or an audit trail when something goes wrong.

How TFFx helps

  • A unified dashboard for every consignment moving across every site.
  • Multi-user accounts with roles, so each team sees and does exactly what it should.
  • Subscription pricing that stays predictable and scales with your volume.
  • Every status change timestamped and every document versioned: a full audit trail on demand.

Best forOrganizations moving high, recurring volume across multiple locations.

Roles, because not everyone should be able to do everything

An organisation account is not one login shared by a team. Members belong to an organisation and carry a role, and the role decides what they can do — not just what the interface shows them. Permission is enforced at the interface and again at the backend, so a read-only member cannot create a booking by finding a different route to the same endpoint.

  • Plant and warehouse staff who need to see and create shipments for their site.
  • Read-only members — auditors, finance reviewers, a customer-service desk — who should see everything and change nothing.
  • Managers who administer the member list, roles and invitations.
  • Finance, with access to invoices, receipts and credit notes without touching operations.

The audit trail is the product, not a report you request

Shipment status is not a field somebody types into. It is derived from the event record, so the timeline and the status can never disagree, and there is no way to set a status without the event that justifies it existing.

That is the difference between an audit trail and a log: a log is written alongside the truth and can drift from it. Here the events are the truth and the status is the summary. When a consignment is late and somebody asks what happened and when, the answer is the same record the platform itself is reading.

Getting the numbers out

Freight data that cannot leave the platform is not much use to a finance function that models in a spreadsheet. Reports are built from a subject — shipments, quotes, claims or spend — then filtered, and exported as XLSX, CSV or PDF.

Invoices, receipts and credit notes have their own read-only view for the people who need to reconcile them, separate from the operational modules the plants work in.

Common questions

Can different sites and teams have different access?
Yes. Members belong to an organisation and carry a role, and the role determines what they can do. Roles run from read-only through operational to manager, and the restriction is enforced at the backend as well as in the interface — the difference between an access model and a hidden menu.
Is there an audit trail for a shipment?
Every status change is an event with a timestamp, and the shipment’s status is derived from those events rather than stored separately. That means the timeline and the status cannot contradict each other, and there is no route to a status that has no event behind it.
Can we export freight data for reporting?
Yes. The report builder works from a chosen subject — shipments, quotes, claims or spend — with filters and a column picker, and exports to XLSX, CSV or PDF. Finance separately has a read-only view of invoices, receipts and credit notes.
How does pricing work for recurring volume?
Recurring volume is what tariff pricing is for, as opposed to the spot quotes that suit one-off shipments. Self-serve tariff quoting is not open yet; in the meantime the tariff page is the place to start a conversation about your lanes, and spot quoting is fully available for anything you need priced today.

Start with a real shipment

A quote takes about two minutes, needs no account, and shows you what TFFx actually does with cargo of your own — which tells you more than any page can.
